Landcare Tasmania's vision

Bill Harvey, Chair of Landcare Tasmania Board

Bill was first elected to the City of Hobart Council in 2007 and currently Chairs the Sustainability in Infrastructure Portfolio Committee. 

He was instrumental in the City of Hobart becoming the first jurisdiction in Australia to Ban single-use, food-related plastic, reducing up to 9 million plastic items per year from landfill and litter. He was also responsible for City of Hobart being the first capital city in the county to declare a Climate and Biodiversity Emergency and is committed to making Tasmania a genuine leader in environmental sustainability. 

Bill brings a combination of qualifications, experience and governance skills to the board of Landcare Tasmania.
