To celebrate our 30th birthday, a major supporter of the movement, the JM Roberts Charitable Trust, will match donations up to $30,000 until the end of June 2024.
On 30 May 2024, Landcare Tasmania celebrated its 30th year as an incorporated association, supporting the grassroots Landcare movement.
As a peak body, we have worked hard to create a foundation of support for those wanting to to take action in their own backyards.
During the past three decades, Landcarers have been busy protecting and restoring the soils, waterways, flora, fauna, climate, and communities that make up lutruwita/trouwunna/Tasmania.
We have come a long way since our incorporation, and as we enter our 30th year, we are proud to say we have 303 groups and 144 individual members statewide, all working to care for their local patch.

Double your impact and make a difference
We are at a critical time for the environment - and we believe that grassroots Landcare is the most important environmental movement of our time. We believe that we can reverse the degradation and disconnection that impacts our environment.
We know the success of the Landcare movement hinges on local access to resources, information, connections, and a shared purpose.
Will you help the Landcare movement strengthen and grow with a gift to the Tasmanian Landcare Fund on our 30th birthday?
Your generous donation to Landcare Tasmania will help the growing Landcare community with the necessary support to make sure we future-proof the Landcare movement at a time when it is needed most.
Here’s to 30 more years of Landcare excellence in Tasmania!
