Join Landcare Tasmania for a half-day field day designed for farmers, property owners and Landcare members interested in improving farm dams in the Blythe River Catchment. Learn about the production, ecosystem, and drought resilience benefits from improved farm dam management.

When: Wednesday, 20 May 10am-1pm
Where: Meet at Sulphur Creek Community Hall - 310 Preservation Drive, Sulphur Creek. We will then drive out to conduct our field visit (address provided once RSVPd)
What to expect:
- The latest scientific research from the ANU Sustainable Farms project on the many benefits of enhancing farm dams
- Field visits to a local farm dam to compare stages of farm dam enhancement.

- Wetland plant selection
- How invertebrates and other aquatic life drive better water quality, helping reduce algae, improve dam function, and support farm productivity
- How to design efficient off-dam watering systems
- Learn about Landcare Tasmania's "Catchment Connect" Project and how to submit an EOI for farm dam enhancement funding
