Fern Identification Day in Gunns Plains
Friends of the Leven are lucky to have botanist Anna Povey who lead a Fern ID walk and talk between 9:30am and 12:30pm on Sunday October 30th in Gunns Plains.
The Leven River area is remarkable for an amazing diversity of ferns. Anna will seek out and name the species along a ferny walk and explain the characteristics to look for in some of the trickier to identify local ferns.
You can bring your fern specimens for Anna to identified (try to bring whole fronds or spores if you can).
