Dover Landcare's monthly foreshore working bee is this Sunday 31st. Please meet at the Dover Beach BBQ area next to the playground at 9 am. The forecast is not looking great, but we are hoping for a break in the weather to make some more headway on the removal tree lupins along Kent Beach. Removing tree lupins is easy and very satisfying! New comers are always welcome, and volunteering is a great way to meet people, learn more about the plants and animals of the Dover foreshore, and to get gentle exercise. Bring your hand tools of choice if you can. We find folding saws and loppers work best for this job, but don't worry if you can't bring tools or gloves of your own, we have some to loan if needed. We aim to finish up at 10:30 am and then return to the park for a warm cuppa at the BBQ area.
