Landcare Tasmania is the peak body for Tasmania's grassroots Landcare movement. As a not-for-profit and registered charity, we support and empower over 8,000 volunteers and 270+ member groups to protect and enhance the sustainability of Tasmania's land, water, and natural environments. About the role
To provide effective and efficient office coordination, reception, facilities, administrative, and operational support services to Landcare Tasmania.
The Office Services Coordinator contributes to the smooth day-to-day functioning of the Hobart office by managing inbound communications, coordinating facilities and office services, supporting staff and members, maintaining systems and supplies, assisting with IT and administrative processes, and fostering a welcoming, safe, and efficient work environment for staff, visitors, contractors, and stakeholders.
Your core responsibilities include:
- Deliver efficient, accurate, and responsive office coordination, reception, facilities, and administrative support services.
- Work under the general direction of the Operations Manager.
- Exercise discretion, judgement, initiative, and confidentiality in all aspects of the role.
- Contribute to a professional, safe, welcoming, and well-organised workplace environment.
- Support communication and service delivery to members, partners, contractors, and the broader community.
- Comply with all organisational policies, procedures, and mandatory training requirements.
What you'll bring:
- Demonstrated experience in an administrative, office coordination, reception, or support role (minimum 12 months preferred).
- Sound knowledge of office administration and the ability to coordinate operations, facilities, and services.
- Well-developed digital and computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, CRM and task management systems, and basic IT support.
- Proven ability to manage documentation, maintain accurate records, and support administrative systems with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage professionally with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, manage competing demands, and work independently while maintaining confidentiality.
- Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving ability, and sound judgement in a dynamic environment.
