We are seeking a part-time Landcare Network Coordinator (Northern) to join our team. Become part of the movement to provide more support for our members and their projects, and deliver more exciting programs in the new year.

About the role

Basis of employment: part-time

Salary: $72,000-$77,000 + super (FTE)

Location: Based in Launceston, Lutruwita/Tasmania, with some travel around the North and North West.


We are seeking a part-time Landcare Network Coordinator (Northern) to join our team, to assist in:

  • Supporting Landcare groups and schools, and strengthening the Landcare movement in Lutruwita/Tasmania’s North and North West regions.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, including community groups, first nations organisations, local government, and other partners.
  • Facilitating workshops, capacity building and education events, and promoting positive relationships across the community.
  • Contributing to membership engagement and outreach programs.

We are looking for someone to work 4 days per week, and we can offer some flexibility on the days and times you wish to work your hours.

 

Requirements

To be successful, you will need to have:

  • Proven experience in supporting community groups, building capacity, and fostering positive relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver workshops, events, or community projects.
  • Experience working with school-age children or youth.
  • Knowledge and experience of landcare or environmental topics (e.g.invasive species management, methods of environmental restoration).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage and build relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, including members, community groups, government agencies, and other partners.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Skills in managing multiple tasks, meeting deadlines, and prioritising workload.
  • Computer literacy in common office software, e.g. Google Workspace, MS Office, Zoom, and willingness to learn new software systems
  • A Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Tasmanian) and first aid certificate or the ability to obtain prior to commencement.
  • A current Australian driver’s licence.
