The Crew will work alongside the Upper Huon Wildlife Group to help restore a section of Kellaways Creek - including the restoration of a threatened vegetation community, Dry Eucalyptus ovata Forest and Woodland (DOV). Activities will include: Site overview, incl. walk and talk with Simon Roberts, discussion of values, threats, management priorities/challenges.
Site survey and assessing success of previous reveg (incl. Tree guard removal).
Water quality monitoring (incl. Macroinvertebrate survey).
Acoustic monitoring, targeting bats, far eastern curlew and Australasian bittern (contributing to the "Call Trackers" project). Possiblly also planting and weed control, depending on conditions.
