The Hobart Rivulet Bushcare Group is restoring the Hobart Rivulet and encouraging a healthy habitat for our iconic platypus and other wildlife. The group plants native sedges, shrubs and trees to improve the biodiversity and aesthetics of the rivulet, as well as improving the environment for local fauna and flora. The volunteers also remove weeds such as blackberry and thistles, and collect litter along the banks of the rivulet.
Join the Hobart Rivulet Bushcare Group and help restore our Hobart Rivulet. Make a
positive difference to our local environment and our iconic platypus!
Help us to:
- plant new trees and shrubs along the rivulet,
- remove weeds and overgrowth, and
- collect rubbish.
Our working bees are held on the second Sunday of each month, from 2:00 to 4:30 pm (February to November). The location varies, so please register your interest with John on 0417 617 572 or [email protected].
