Landcare Tasmania appoints interim CEO

From Landcare Tasmania's Board of Directors

Landcare Tasmania announced the resignation of Rod Knight as CEO effective from 31st March 2021. The Board has named Community Landcare Manager & Deputy CEO Peter Stronach as Acting CEO. Peter has been with Landcare Tasmania for 11 years and is highly regarded within Tasmania’s community Landcare movement and environmental science sector.

The Board is excited about the opportunity to attract a new CEO to the role of leading this strong community based not-for-profit organisation. The Board has commenced its search for a new CEO retaining the services of an executive search firm to assist in the process.

Since 1994, Landcare Tasmania has been helping local communities care for our land and coasts, farms and towns, waterways and wildlife. We are Tasmania’s leading organisation for community- based solutions to environment, land management and sustainability challenges.

With a vision for all the land and coasts of lutrawita / Tasmania to be cared for by the community, Landcare Tasmania is presently embarking on an exciting new strategic plan for FY22-24 that will continue to support and expand the reach and effectiveness of our more than 5,000 volunteer members state-wide.

We thank all of Landcare Tasmania's partners, members, and supporters for your continued support.
