Tramway Hill Landcare Group (THLG) is hosting a community event on National Tree Day to plant trees to provide extra habitat for native animals and help stabilise the banks of Nierinna Creek.

The event will be at the entrance to Nierinna Creek Reserve - accessed from the end of Burnaby Drive, off Nierinna Road, Margate.

A BBQ/picnic will be held around midday on site if the weather is favourable. Bring along chairs and/or a picnic rug. Basic BBQ provisions will be supplied. Feel free to bring something to share.

Wear appropriate clothing for the day and bring gardening gloves, hoes and spades if you have them. There will be some tools and protective equipment available on site.
