Nipaluna Nursery

Nipaluna Nursery is a Landcare group of enthusiastic, active volunteers passionate about growing native plants and committed to supporting awareness and education of biodiversity in lutruwita/Tasmania. Volunteers, the Nipaloonies, come together for regular sessions on Tuesdays from 10:00 am with a shared lunch. Activities include germinating, propagating, weeding and planting. We run regular workshops and info sessions and organise field trips and planting sessions on Country. Based at Church Avenue New Town, beside KickStart Arts. The team has an established link with farmers in the Midlands Biodiversity Hotspot. We have grown over 50,000 native plants for Midlands farmers over the last three years. The team has led plant propagation and edible Tasmanian plants workshops for Landcare groups, the community and schools. We love what we do together taking practical action for the land.
