NEW Pulchella Community Nursery Landcare Group!

We invite you to become part of the new Pulchella Community Nursery Landcare, a volunteer group that will be based at the Spring Bay Mill. This project is a partnership with the Spring Bay Mill and we are most appreciative of the support of Graeme Wood and Anna Cerneaz. We are also very fortunate to have the expertise and experience of Marcus Ragus, lead horticultural consultant at The Spring Bay Mill. Here is an opportunity for those interested in horticulture, propagating, growing native plants and more. The Landcare group will be growing native plants for community projects across the municipality. PCNLG recently held an open day at the The Mill. Marcus was kind enough to show us the wonderful work he and his team have so far achieved. Over 10,000 native plants have been planted on the old mill site! We were delighted with the number of interested folk who came along. It is early days but we are excited to work with Marcus and his team who will help organise our nursery activities.

Our first activity will be a native fruit and seed collecting and propagation session. The seed will be sourced onsite from established native plant areas at the Mill. This will be followed by some seed propagation using seed collected earlier. Learn about general seed propagation techniques including growing media and required after care. The session will be facilitated by Marcus. If you are keen to join the group, have some fun, meet new people, learn some STUFF then come along!
