2026 Priority Weeds in North West & Western Tasmania

 

 

We are holding a practical community workshop, featuring weed expert Alex Meiss from Island Regen, focused on identifying and managing priority weeds in North West and Western Tasmania.

What the workshop will cover:

  • Identification of priority weed species in the region
  • Best-practice weed control and management approaches
  • Chemical and non-chemical control options and legal considerations
  • Project planning support for community and Landcare groups
  • How community knowledge will inform the new Cradle Coast Regional Weed Strategy

This workshop is also a key opportunity for community input into the development of the Regional Weed Strategy, helping shape priorities for the next 10 years.

When: Saturday 14th of March 

Time: 10am - 1pm

Where: Ulverstone Rowing Club, Kings Parade, Ulverstone
