Seed Collection & Propagation Mountain River
This event is now sold out!
What to expect: Learn how to propagate native plants using a simple method designed for backyards. We will explore growing plants from seeds, as well as how to collect, clean and store your own seeds.
We will be joined by Kirrilli Kent, who works for Understorey Network as Grower's Scheme and Seedbank Manager. She runs (very popular) native seed collecting workshops around Tasmania and has been collecting native seed for several years for Plants of Tasmania Nursery where she has worked as a horticulturalist since doing Horticulture at Tastafe.
What to bring: Materials are provided. If you have your own gloves and pair of secateurs please bring them along. To store your seedlings we recommend a styrofoam box (you can pick up a second hand one from your local supermarket!)
When: Arrive at 9am, the workshop will be held from 9.30am - 12pm
Price: Free of charge, however registration is mandatory for all attendees. We are expecting this event to fill up quickly!
