*This event was postponed from June.
Whatever the weather, we will do something. If too bad for weeding, we will have a walk at the very least!
The plan is to return to one of our favourite sites to continue with Spanish heath control following up on last year’s good work and possibly extending out to an even more remote infestation at the far end of the point below the Cape.
This activity is timed to coincide with the flowering time which will make the plants easier to find. These are growing deep in the bush halfway out on to the Cape. Most plants can be hand pulled. Larger ones may need to be cut and dabbed with herbicide. Those of you who have joined us in previous trips will know what to expect. Uneven terrain, off track searching.
Get there early and grab yourself a (really good) coffee from The Lanterns cafe across the road.
Afterwards there will be opportunity for some afternoon tea / glass of wine at the inimitable Bangor Vineyard Shed.
Please RSVP by emailing Andrew:

What to bring: Gloves for hand pulling weeds, warm clothes, drink and lunch.
