Know Your Local Patch Strahan: Celebrating Tassie's Hardworking Little Pollinators!

Looking for something different to do on the weekend? Join Wildcare Friends of the Henty Landcare Group and Pollination experts at the Strahan Primary School Hall for a fun afternoon to learn all about Tassie's hard working little pollinators - Native bees.

Families and children will be able to make a special bee hotel from natural and local materials specifically for the Tasmanian native bee species that live in Strahan. Children can then take these home to put in their own gardens to encourage native bees!

Join a bee expert. Check out the different quirks of native vs honey bees. Find out more about the mini creatures that we rely on for food security, biosecurity and ecosystem health in your local bush areas.

We wish to thank Fullers Bookshop for their donation of Tassie's native Bee Posters and TMAG for their support for this event.
