Wilmot River Landcare Group Information Post

The Wilmot River Landcare Group has been formed primarily to take over the maintenance of Dooley's Track and Lucy's Track that run beside the west and east sides of the Wilmot River. These tracks were made in circa 2002 by some Wilmot residents and others. It appears that since the death of track worker Bill Shepherd in 2020 there has been no formal maintenance done on the tracks.

Our group will probably do some work on weed (Foxglove) eradication and reporting on wildlife sightings.

The tracks are on Sustainable Timber land. We are waiting on the final ok from Sustainable Timber so we can work on their land, before we organise our first official track working day.
