While it was a lovely sunny day the wind meant that no spraying was possible. So all hands turned to hand pulling the Spanish heath – easy in the lovely moist conditions. Much of the paddock area was ‘gone over’ and we all felt we’d done a good days work. Because of the wind, morning tea and lunch were enjoyed in Ernie’s house, a very comfortable alternative in the prevailing conditions.
