Control Spanish Heath and Blackberry and restore 1ha of streamside E. ovata (Blackgum) vegetation community
Methods
Control blackberry through slashing and spraying, control spanish heath through spraying and cut and paste. Grow or purchase seedlings (using mix of shrubs and overstorey species replicating existing Black gum community. Maintain weed control and herbivore grazing protection (non-lethal).
Natural Values
Increase streambank stability, increase habitat for threatened species (devils, eastern quolls, Eastern Barred Bandicoots and Swift Parrots). Extend a remnant patch of the critically endangered Black Gum vegetation community.
