The heart of The Gathering - a full day for Tasmania’s Landcare community to come together, learn from real experience, share what we know and build the connections that help make things happen.
Across the day, you’ll hear from people doing the work, learn from each other and explore practical ideas through keynote conversations, peer learning, workshops, panels and small-group discussions.
There’ll also be plenty of time and space to catch up, meet someone new, continue a conversation, get practical advice or simply take some time out.

How do we keep our Landcare communities strong?
Landcare relies on people - the volunteers, leaders and communities who keep groups going year after year. Hear from people doing it, share experiences and explore practical approaches to leadership, participation, succession and the everyday challenges of sustaining a strong Landcare community.
Catchment & Farming Systems
How do we work together across our landscapes?
No farm or property sits in isolation. What happens across one part of a catchment affects the land, water and communities around it.
Hear from farmers, landholders, Landcare communities and the people who work alongside them about how Landcare networks can bring people together around shared priorities, and how those connections can create opportunities for coordinated action, partnerships and investment.
Biodiversity & Restoration
How do we turn good ideas into action?
Across Tasmania, Landcare communities are developing and delivering great ideas for the places they care about. Hear from communities doing the work and explore how local ideas become strong, well developed projects, building the partnerships, support and investment needed to get more work happening on the ground.
More than the streams
Some of the most useful conversations won’t happen in a formal session.
Across the day, you’ll also find small group conversations, drop-in advice and support, creative activities and the Landcare Lounge - places to hear real stories, dig into practical topics, ask questions, make connections or simply take some time out.
We want you to leave with new ideas and useful connections, but also feeling recognised for what you contribute and part of a much bigger Landcare community.

All Meet Up tickets give you access to the same Saturday program and include morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.
Landcare Tasmania members can access subsidised tickets thanks to the support of our Gathering partners.
The Celebration on Saturday evening is separately ticketed.
