Image: Partnering with ZooDoo Zoo, Landcare Tasmania is restoring 2ha to enhance the habitat of the threatened Green and Gold frog as part of the Pages Creek Catchment Restoration Project. In 2023 we held corporate employee volunteer events to help get the plants in the ground and need more volunteers to finalise the project in winter 2024.
Image: Over 350 corporate volunteers from KPMG swapped regular office-based work and routines for days spent as Landcarers nationwide. Landcare Tasmania, together with City of Hobart Bushcare, hosted 29 enthusiastic participants from KPMG Hobart for a full-day exploration and working bee at the much-loved Hobart Rivulet.
Image: Francesca Jewellery, based in nipaluna/Hobart is committed to becoming an environmentally conscious company, that's why they have designed their Conservation Charm. For every charm sold one tree will be planted by Landcare Tasmania volunteers. We’re excited to share with you that in 2024 Francesca donated 170 trees towards the Pages Creek Catchment Restoration Project.
Image: Since 2019, the 24 Carrot Garden Program has officially partnered with Landcare Tasmania. They cover the Landcare Tasmania membership fee for their schools and they are involved in our Education Program. We work together to identify, share and develop opportunities and initiatives that will facilitate school students and their communities to develop practical skills, understanding and activities around sustainable living.
