Take to the Forth River with Wilmot Willow Busters for a different perspective on one of Tasmania’s persistent riparian weeds.
Led by qualified river raft guides and Wilmot Willow Busters, this on water field experience will travel downstream from Paloona, exploring willow control across multiple properties. See treated areas and the natural recovery of riparian vegetation and the river channel, hear how the group tackles the challenge of accessing willows along the river, and get an introduction to the techniques used to control them.
There will also be an opportunity to assist with treatment of an accessible patch of willows and learn how you can get involved in the group’s ongoing work along the Forth.
