Understanding the importance of this bond, our "Know Your Local Patch" program was launched in June 2023 with the aim of fostering a love for the environment among children.
"Thank you Landcare Tasmania, was a lovely event. My little one is constantly pointing out rubbish now to help save the fish"

"Such a great event! Thanks Landcare Tasmania for choosing our lovely town for your event. My kids had a great time learning about and painting swift parrots"
Our aim is to help young people connect with their local areas, fostering a sense of curiosity, respect, and stewardship towards the environment.
Workshops include finding creative ways to discover and develop relationships with our 'local patch'. At our KYLP events you may find yourself hunting for bugs, painting endangered species, creating a nature journal, or dressing up as an environmental superhero.
