Mount Roland Rivercare Catchment Inc

Established in 1999, the Mount Roland Rivercare Catchment Inc. is a not-for-profit organisation based in the North West of Tasmania. This group of farmers and landowners have been instrumental in major restoration projects on the rivers of Kentish since their inception and continue to support and coordinate river conservation/restoration works in the catchment.

They have won several awards, including the Murray-Darling Basin Commission Rivercare Award at the 2008 National Landcare Awards (See the ABC story).

Regular Events:
Weed working bees, Educational Tree Planting days, re-vegetation projects, research on species occurrence such as vegetation, birds, and endangered species.
