Community Landcare is a statewide network of volunteers, coordinators, landholders, organisations and partners working together to care for land and water.
The Tasmanian Community Landcare Gathering 2026 (The Gathering) brings this network together to build skills, share knowledge, and strengthen the connections that make Landcare possible.
If you’re part of the Landcare movement, this is a practical opportunity to connect with others, learn from real experience, and strengthen your impact.
The Gathering combines hands-on learning, peer exchange and on-ground participation — with a focus on working through ideas and challenges, identifying priorities, and shaping the support, projects and on-ground action that follow.

The Gathering brings people together through learning, connection & on-ground experience.
Across the three days, it includes:
- Practical learning sessions focused on real-world skills and shared challenges
- Peer exchange and discussion to connect people across groups and regions
- On-ground activities such as field trips and working bees
- A social and celebration component recognising the contribution of Landcarers
Together, these elements create a more interactive, relevant and engaging experience — focused on strengthening people, networks and on-ground outcomes.

There are lots of ways to be part of shaping The Gathering — from sharing input and ideas through to volunteering, partnerships and supporting delivery.
