Know Your Local Patch Bayview: World Wetlands Day walk

We're kicking off 2024 with more Know Your Local Patch events for families and young people to explore their local environment.

In 2024, students of Bayview Secondary College will be restoring a patch of Clarence Plains Rivulet as an elective unit, with support from Landcare Tasmania. To kick off the project, the school year, and lining up with World Wetlands Day, we will go for a guided walk down the rivulet to the salt marsh wetlands that the rivulet feeds into. We will learn from scientists and local experts why the wetlands are so valuable and what we must do to protect them.

Free event!

Bring: drink, snack, hat, jacket.

Cancellation: Extreme rain or heat will result in cancellation or rescheduling.
