The Tasmanian Landcare Fund (TLF) supports all of our programs, including much needed grants directly to member-driven projects. Landcare Tasmania Inc. is a charity registered with the ACNC and listed on the Register of Environmental Organisations. The Tasmanian Landcare Fund (TLF) is our public fund, which can receive tax deductible donations.

Since 2004, over $600,000 of donations to the fund have been used to support our members' important on-ground work on farms, in schools and with community groups across lutriwita/Tasmania.
Every day we hear from Tasmanians wanting to take action to improve the health of their local land, water, and coasts. The urgency is real, and we are here to connect people to the resources they need. Your tax deductible donation helps us empower Tasmanians to improve the health of our island landscapes.
How your donation is managed
Landcare Tasmania's Board acts as the management committee of the TLF, ensuring that all funds are managed in line with the Constitution and objectives of Landcare Tasmania. In grant rounds awarded to members, an independent technical panel of experts assesses each round of member applications.
Value added: All donations are value-added by members who volunteer their time and other resources. Your donations help us raise the voice of community Landcare, attracting funding partnerships and collaborations to add even more value to your dollar. Importantly, all funds raised stay in Tasmania.
In 2003 Landcare Tasmania was approached by a retired farmer, Mr John Roberts, who wanted to make a bequest that would make a difference by providing support for hands-on, practical Landcare projects to be undertaken on farms, in schools and with community groups to improve Tasmania’s water, land, plants and animals. With his bequest, the JM Roberts Charitable Trust was established. The first donation to the Tasmanian Landcare Fund was from the The JM Roberts Charitable Trust, and the Trust continues to be our largest regular donor.
