Serrated Tussock Workshop and Field Trip
Glamorgan Spring Bay and Tasman Council with support from NRM South are running an informative one-day workshop on managing serrated tussock.
Weed managers, farmers, and agronomists, including mainland expert Charles Grech from Paddock Solutions will share their knowledge, experience and expertise with landowners managing this challenging weed.
Come along and learn more about:
- How to tackle large infestations
- Pasture renovation techniques to reduce control time and chemical use
- Herbicide use and water quality
- Tools and technologies to make the job easier
- Biosecurity - how to minimise the spread of serrated tussock
- How local farmers are successfully managing serrated tussock
The Workshop will assist you to:
- Manage serrated tussock more efficiently and cost-effectively
- Provide practical information on management techniques
- Learn from others experiences in managing serrated tussock
The workshop includes a field trip to a local landholder successfully managing serrated tussock using a range of management techniques.
