Group members : Local residents - Karen Phillips, Stavroula and Joe Jacka, John, Tabetha, Gina and šŸ‘¾Paul, Nigel and Peter that own property bounding the Montos and Ironstone Creeks and Jones river.Aims:Ā To restore the riparian zone of the which are habitat for the platypus, freshwater crayfish as well as drinking water supply. We also want to extend the riparian planting to include larger tress and shrubs to form a shelter belt bordering the rivers and creeks.Identify feral animal issues (cats, rabbit and hares)Remove or control stockPlan to deal with ferals, eg fencing and destruction of harbor ...........Identify riparian weeds and indigenous speciesRemove weeds such as crack willow, blackberry and Elishas Tears (avoid erosion at the same time)Replant with indigenous speciesĀ MulchĀ Weeding program and maintenance of feral controlĀ
