Aims: 

To restore the riparian zone of the Jones River in Ellendale that borders my newly purchased property in Ellendale and hopefully get some momentum from neighbors to continue with or commence riparian regeneration of the Jones River which is a habitat for the platypus and as well as a drinking water supply. I also want to extend the riparian planting to include larger tress and shrubs to form a shelter belt bordering my whole property.

Identify feral animal issues (rabbit and hares)

Remove stock

Plan to deal with ferals, eg fencing and destruction of harbor ...........

Identify riparian weeds and indigenous species

Remove weeds (avoid erosion at the same time)

Replant with indigenous species 

Mulch 

Weeding program and maintenance of feral control
