Working Bee - Friends of Bass Strait Islands

Friends of Bass Strait Islands (FoBSI) are taking expressions of interest (EOI) for their next working bee on the Furneaux Islands.

There will two working bees to undertake boxthorn follow-up and collection of marine debris.

The first will be May 10th to May 22nd coordinated by Karen Ziegler. FoBSI can have a total of 10 people to revisit islands already worked on. People need to be members of Wildcare.

You need to be reasonably fit and agile, to get in and out of boats, walk through tussock grass and climb over rocks.  You also need to be prepared to use herbicide. All PPE is supplied.

The work will get you to areas rarely visited, is solid work and great fun.  More details will be emailed to those that submit an EOI.

Please email EOI to [email protected] who will respond after March 19th.
