Dates: 25th - 28th April 2024

Anyone interested in birds, both experienced or otherwise, are invited to come along and give us a hand.

Itinerary:

Thursday 25th April 2024 - EVENING:

5:30pm to 7:30pm - King Island Gallery.

• Welcome Orientation.
• Team member sign up & meet and greet.
• Team leader to collect their WoK Kits/Field Plans.

Friday 26th & Saturday 27th April 2024 - DAY: 

Day - across the island.

• Teams undertake assigned surveys.

Saturday 27th April 2024 - EVENING:

6:00pm - King Island Club.

• Presentation dinner with guest speaker (to be announced) - option to order drinks & a meal at your own cost on the night.
• Return WoK Kits/completed paperwork (if all surveys were conducted).

Sunday 28th April 2024 - DAY: 

• Complete remaining surveys & meet with WOK Assistants to return Field Plans, WoK Kits etc (if necessary).
• Free day.

Wednesday 24th April - Wednesday 1st May 2024:

• Orange Bellied Parrot Blitz - further details TBC

How it Works: 

All participants MUST REGISTER at least one week prior to the event.

Registrations close Thursday 18th April 2024.

Teams are made up of at least one experienced birder or two with medium experience, together with keen to learn others.  You can make up your own team or join a team that is compiled by the WoK management and are generally made up of a mix of experienced, non-experienced, visitors to KI and KI locals.
