Landcare Tasmania Members Council - vacancies

August 2018

Landcare Tasmania is seeking expressions of interest to fill 2 casual vacancies and 4 new positions on our Members Council.

The Members Council is a key part of our efforts to engage and represent our community Landcare members and in the implementation of Landcare Tasmania activities and projects.

The Landcare Tasmania Members Council is a standing sub-committee of Landcare Tasmania. Its roles are to:

  • provide a forum for members to discuss matters of strategic direction and Landcare policy
  • provide advice to the Board on matters of strategic direction and Landcare policy
  • assist and/or facilitate the implementation of Landcare Tasmania policies, strategies and projects.

Expressions of interest are sought from individual members of Landcare Tasmania, or from nominees of Landcare Tasmania member groups to fill 2 casual vacancies and 4 new positions. Each position is for a term of 2 years, up to a maximum of 4 terms.

Expressions of interest will be reviewed with a view to achieving greater geographic representation on the Members Council, a broad range of different types of 'care' groups, and the skills and experience to contribute to the operation of the Members Council and other initiatives.

The decision on who will fill the vacancies will be made at the Landcare Tasmania AGM on 28 September.
