The TLF Plant Grant: A new small grant for member projects

18th September 2023 |

Landcare Tasmania’s TLF Plant Grant is a small grant round to supplement ongoing member-led projects that include native revegetation. This grant opportunity is available thanks to generous donations to the Tasmanian Landcare Fund. We hope to offer this grant opportunity annually, as donations allow.

We understand that there is a lot more to a successful planting than just the plants. Revegetation projects come with an inherent level of committment to prepare the site well and look after the plants until they're established, so this grant opportunity aims to supplement projects with ongoing committment.

This grant will be offered to Landcare Tasmania members who have an existing project in the Project Bank awaiting support for plants as component of ongoing works. Successful recipients will need to prepare the site, control weeds, water the seedlings regularly in their first year, and keep a check on weeds in the future.

Shortlisted projects will receive an email this month with an invitation to apply.

The grant offers successful recipients up to 300 plants local to their native area, appropriate to the local site conditions, for the purpose of enhancing native biodiversity. Funding for a total of 3000 plants, guards & stakes is available in this round.
