Wildcare Friends of the Henty

Our next working bee is coming up on the long weekend on Monday the 14th of March. We finished off our first round of weeding along Ocean Beach Trail about 4 months back, but plenty of regrowth is already coming through, and there are a few large spots we missed the first go around.

We will meet at the Ocean Beach Trail Carpark at 9am and walk the length of the track, checking each site we weeded for regrowth, and weeding the new sites. The trail is roughly 2km long and is a flat, easy-going walk. Bring a raincoat and warm clothes, as well as some sturdy shoes and long pants (very important as snakes may be about).

There will be a supply of snacks and hot drinks for morning tea, and we will finish up around 12pm.

Directions to the carpark can be found here: https://westcoasttas.com.au/listings/ocean-beach-trail. Note that we are meeting at the Trail Carpark, not the Beach Carpark at the end of Ocean Beach Road.

If you are planning on coming along, please make sure you have signed
up as a DPIPWE volunteer. It takes 5 to 10 minutes to complete.
