Bandicoot bunker planting with Howrah Primary School

Howrah Primary School will continue their Bandicoot bunker program through planting more native plants. These bunkers are wooden structures or dense vegetation that make an ideal home for bandicoots.

Bandicoots are an important prey species for native predators such as the Wedge Tailed Eagle, and so by boosting Bandicoot numbers Howrah Primary aims to provide a greater food source for these predators.

This event is part of Landcare Tasmania's Rodenticide Awareness Program and is funded by the Australian Government's Communities Environment Program

Attendance to this event is by invite only.
