The Member Spotlight
Friends of Burnie Penguins |
Good news for Burnie’s Little Penguins!
UTAS, in conjunction with Friends of Burnie Penguins (FOBP) have begun work to transform carparks near the penguin colony into more habitat for them to roam.
The area will see the planting of hundreds of native plants, as well as burrows and tunnels so penguins can move between the beach and their new area.
"We are really excited about the new development in the area.. It's a unique opportunity to enhance the area environmentally and see native vegetation return to the area."
